Hi there, as you probably already know my name is Matthew Alty and I’m a theatre technician. Since the age of 11 I had found an interest in acting and music performing in amateur dramatics. As I entered college I began studying music technology and never looked back. From then on my eyes lifted from the stage up to the theatres rigging systems. During this time I became proficient at using the Behringer x32 and began learning other desks such as the Digico SD9and Roland v-Mixer 400. I love problem solving and especially routing sound via digital systems. This then lead to me doing Dante training as well as beginning training in ETC lighting control software. Now with just under 50 amateur shows under my belt I’m excited to take the next step forward hopefully working in large scale theatre productions.
